We all sweat and more often than not, it is unavoidable! But what about the patches and bad odor that sweat leaves on our clothes? Well, in case of a normal garment it can be easily washed at home but when it comes to ‘dry-clean only’ apparels, we are bound to depend on the dry-cleaners every time.
And with summer driving its way back, we would probably be sweating like we just got out of shower. It might not be possible to get it dry-cleaned every time and besides, keeping the stain for a longer time will just make the stain stingy, odorous and hard to get off!
Therefore, to ease you with this plight, here are 3 easy steps that you can DIY to get rid of these sweat stains and the odor at home.
Things that you need:
Make a paste of baking soda by mixing 4 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/4th cup of warm water. Stir it to make it a smooth paste.
Turn the cloth inside out. Rub a liberal amount of the paste on the sweat stained area. Wrap the garment with plastic cover or bag to abstain the paste from drying. Allow to sit overnight.
Scrub the area with a sponge or brush and wipe off the paste using a damp cloth. Make sure to not leave any residue of the paste. Hang the garment on the clothesline to let it air dry.
Once dry, you can continue to wear the stainless and odor-free clothes without any worries!
